Decisions, decisions, decisions...I’ll be the first to admit that making decisions is not my strong suit (and anyone who knows me will probably agree). I tend to be more cautious and think things through before making a choice.
Maybe that is because choices are powerful💥 Choice is an act of creation. With each choice we make (consciously or unconsciously) we create our experience of reality. We must make our choices given the information we have in front of us and our intuitive guidance.
Some choices are easy and fun, others are challenging and scary. We are constantly making choices in our lives...what to eat, who to talk to, what to say, how to spend our time. The list is endless.
If you are like me, it may not always SEEM like you have a choice, especially on the external level. When I don’t feel like I have a choice I tend to feel a combination of panic, frustration anger and powerlessness. This usually results in a feeling of being sick to my stomach. This makes sense because our digestive system is the part of the body that the solar plexus chakra governs.
The solar plexus is where we digest our experiences (and our food) and distribute the energy. This center governs power (our ability to create change) and transformation.
Choosing is an act of power. When we connect with our ability to choose what is right for us we strengthen our ability to trust ourselves and fuel our confidence. This keeps the fire of the solar plexus chakra burning🔥
There is magic in recognizing our choices. The moment that we are able to step back and look at things differently we see beyond our limited patterns of thought to the horizon of new possibility.
Not all choices need to be monumental. We can choose a different route to work. We can order something different off the menu. We can listen instead of give advice to a friend in need. Small shifts create new pathways and opportunities. We can speak to the person in front of us in the grocery line instead of playing on our phones. The possibilities are endless.
It is important to remember that while the choices we make are powerful...our guidance system is always course correcting. If we make a “wrong turn” we will be rerouted. Our journey may sometimes take us on the scenic route.
Starting now, let us recognize the choices in our lives. Let us use our power of choice to see life from a broader perspective. We can give ourselves permission to experiment and see what happens if instead of choosing from our habits and patterns we chose from inspiration. Let us choose the path of expansion and growth✨
